Careers
Careers at Xionia.
Xionia makes its own products, from premium software synthesizers to games, interactive experiences and apps, and carries out research in artificial intelligence for every Xionia division. If you’d like to work with us, we’d like to hear from you.
Working at Xionia
We start from first principles, let creative vision set the direction and engineer everything we make to be tested, dependable and built to last. We take full ownership of every product, from the first idea through to release, and bring ideas from all our work in sound, interactive experiences and AI to each one.
Our founder, Stephen Ankelen, leads Xionia, designing and coding our products as part of a team of experienced senior developers.
Everything we make begins with the people who’ll use it, from the musicians, producers and sound designers our instruments are for to everyone who’ll play our games and use our apps. We look for colleagues who care, above all, about what others will create and discover with their work.
What we work on
Our work spans sound, interactive experiences and artificial intelligence, across three divisions.
Xionia Audio
Synthesis engines, digital signal processing and real-time audio software, with the sound design and the interfaces that turn each engine into an instrument people can rely on, on stage and in the studio.
Xionia Studios
Games and interactive entertainment, experiences for calm, focus and flow, and apps for businesses and consumers, built with Xionia Audio’s synthesis engines, Xionia Labs’ research and engineering of our own.
Xionia Labs
Research and development in artificial intelligence for every Xionia division, from AI that keeps people making music to models that understand how instruments make sound.
Open roles
When we open a role, we’ll list it here with what it involves, where it’s based and how to apply. You don’t need to wait for one. If you’d like to work with us, tell us about yourself.
How to get in touch
Send us a message through our contact form. Tell us what you do and what you’d like to work on with us, and include links to your work, such as a portfolio, code, music or published research. A few paragraphs are plenty, and we’ll ask for anything more we need. You’ll get a personal reply.
We recruit directly and don’t accept unsolicited CVs from recruitment agencies.
Everyone is welcome
We welcome people from every background, and consider each person on their work and what they’d bring to ours. If anything would make it easier for you to get in touch or to take part in an interview, tell us what would help and we’ll arrange it with you.
Your details
We use what you send us to reply to you and to consider you for work with Xionia, now or when a role opens, and keep it for up to two years unless you ask us to delete it sooner. Please leave out anything we don’t need to consider you, such as your date of birth, a photograph or details of your health. Our privacy notice explains how we look after it.
